Domestic Violence Awareness 5K Walk/Run & Health Fair

Share

Domestic violence is a community crisis. In 2020, Florida Law Enforcement reported approximately 7,083 Hillsborough County residents have reported a domestic violence crime.

To bring this issue into the spotlight, Restoration & Purpose Community Outreach (RPCO) presents DVA-Igniting the Flame of 2023, a Domestic Violence Awareness 5K run/walk and Health Fair. They want to bring awareness to our community and provide resources to support survivors and their families during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. DVA-Igniting the Flame will be held on Saturday, October 7. 2023, from 8am – 3pm at Al Lopez Park.

The official 5K warm-up starts at 7:30am. The Health Fair starts at 11am. The health fair is a community event and will provide clothing and resources. Also present will be vendors, nonprofits, medical screenings, medical referrals, HIV testing, face painting and finger printing for kids, counseling, live entertainment, and more.
