WMNF presents:       Not the war of 1812, no the second wave of music!
England ruled radio in the early 60s—led by the Beatles it wasn’t long before more bands stormed the US shores. Then in the late 60’s it happened again as more bands from the UK stormed the US Charts with a bigger, heavier and more mature sound.
Bands such as Cream, Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd, Procol Harum, The Moody Blues, The Yardbirds and Traffic to name a few.
To celebrate our surrender to the Brits—WMNF presents The British Invasion–the Second Wave.  6 hours of the best songs of the British invasion.  15 local bands, each are performing 3+ songs by their favorite British Band.
Cream by Sour Cream
Donovan by Jct 27
Fleetwood Mac by The Wizards
Led Zeppelin by select cast and band members from Jobsite Theater’s production of Lizzie The Musical at the Straz
Pink Floyd by Wide Stance
Procol Harum by Steve Connelly and The Greater Good
The Beatles:
1967 by Robert Wegman
1968 by Glad All Over
1969 by Rosewood Creek
The Kinks by AB+
The Moody Blues by Irish Buskers
The Rolling Stones by Ricky Wilcox and The Moonsnakes
Van Morrison by Talk to Mark
Traffic by Scott Elliott
Blind Faith  by American Song Box
Dusty Springfield by Sara Rose Band
And more bands to come!
Saturday November 5th.
