WMNF Connects with the community at Tampa’s MLK Parade

On the day honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., WMNF radio station demonstrated its commitment to community and unity through active participation in the city’s commemorative events. The station’s team, including General Manager Randi Zimmerman, Volunteers, Community Outreach & Engagement Manager Miss Julie, Social Media Coordinator Erika Flaskamp and Friday Morning Show programmer DJ Spaceship, along with a dedicated group of volunteers, proudly joined the MLK Parade, spreading messages of love and solidarity.

The day’s festivities began with the 45th Annual TOBA (Tampa Organization of Black Affairs) Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Breakfast, where WMNF’s board members, staff and programmers were in attendance.

During the parade, the WMNF team engaged with the community, sharing flowers and embodying the principles of compassion and connection, highlighting the radio station’s ongoing dedication to representing diverse voices and promoting understanding within the Tampa Bay area.
