Suncoast Native Plants

Share

On Monday’s WMNF 88.5 FM Sustainable Living program we talked about native plants, trees and landscaping with three guests from our local Suncoast Native Plant Society (SNPS). We had the President of the Suncoast FNPS, Donna Bollenbach. She’s also the social media coordinator for the Florida Native Plant Society and Assistant Director of the Council of Chapters.

Also joining us were members of the SFNPS Nicole Cribbs, an Environmental Scientist and the Florida Native Plant Society’s Education Committee Chair, and Virginia Overstreet, master gardener and certified arborist.  The right Native plants in the right place are sustainable– period; but it takes education to find the right place and the right plant.  This is what the Florida Native Plant Society and our local chapters are all about.
