Summer FUNdrive 2023

Share

WMNF is getting ready for our 2023 Summer Fund Drive with new thank-you gifts featuring our new WMNF audio-burst logo!

Our volunteer DJs and hosts will be on-air from June 7 to 14 to ask for your support of the WMNF music, news or public affairs shows they host.

But you don’t need to wait for your favorite show to air to donate! Make a gift today to support YOUR mission-driven, volunteer-powered, community radio station, WMNF.

Make a DJ happy! Give your favorite WMNF hosts a boost toward their Summer FUNdrive goals.

Can’t tune into your favorite show during the fund drive? No problem! You can designate the shows you want to support when you donate online at www.wmnf.org/support or by phone on the studio line at 813-239-9663.

Why does Community Radio hold fundraisers on the air?

  1. Community radio is funded by listeners. As a non-commercial, non-profit, community radio station, WMNF relies on the support of our listeners. To remain independent, we are not funded by a university or other large organization. Roughly 70 percent of our budget comes from listener donations—we rely on you!
  2. Supporting your favorite shows directly influences the programming you hear. Listener support is one of many factors that determine which programs you hear on WMNF. So, give a shout-out to your favorite hosts when you make a donation. Let them know that you appreciate the many volunteer hours they put in to bring you the independent music and news you love.
  3. Fund Drive is an excellent opportunity to share feedback about YOUR community radio station. Whether you call 813-239-9663 or donate online, we hope you take a moment to share what you love, what you don’t, or what you’d like to hear on WMNF in the future. We love to hear from our listeners!
  4. Pledge drives are a public media tradition! You know the drill. Every public media outlet relies on listeners for financial support. This is especially true for WMNF (see No. 1 above). But WMNF has THE COOLEST thank-you swag around Tampa Bay. We would love to send you one of the new WMNF T-shirts, a magnet, a window cling, or concert tickets as thanks for your donation. If you’re on a minimalist journey and decline a gift, we’ll send you a big, heartfelt “Thank you!” and a virtual hug for supporting WMNF.

Join the WMNF Circle of Friends!

When you join the WMNF Circle of Friends, you provide ongoing, sustaining support for WMNF and your favorite programs throughout the year.

Much like a subscription to a streaming service, Circle Friends members make a recurring monthly donation of $5/month to join many opportunities throughout the year to win free tickets to music and cultural events at venues like Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Straz Center for the Arts, Mahaffey Theatre, and more. Learn more about Circle of Friends.

Sign up for Circle of Friends when you make your Summer FUNdrive donation at www.wmnf.org/support.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful community radio station.

WMNF exists because of YOU!
