Shine Mural Festival brightens St. Petersburg

Hermine delayed the beginning of the second Shine Mural Festival in St. Petersburg, but artists made up for it all weekend long. Murals are being worked on at all hours. Here are some pictures of the progress, with information about the festival at the end of the post. Shine is part of a month long arts celebration in St. Petersburg called the SPF16Here’s a map of all the murals for this year’s fest.

Zulu Painter is doing a mural on the east side of the Academy of Ballet, 2914 1st Ave. N.

On the north side of the same building, Ali Vasquez’s fantastical creatures are being painted by Todd Frain.
