Recycle Day Tampa Bay

Share

America Recycles Day is coming up in November. Sustainable Living covers recycling here in the Tampa Bay area with three guests that are involved with local recycling, plus they’re Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful partners, one of the best local environmental stewardship groups. Our guests were Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful Development and Community Relations Director Pat DePlasco, the Director for Hillsborough County’s Solid Waste Department Kim Byers and the Governmental Affairs Director for Progressive Waste Solutions, Ian Boyle. They discussed the value of recycled products, electronically keeping track of garbage in Hillsborough County, where to take electronics and paints, and what to do with saw dust. Pat talked about all the great things Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful does in our area. They have events planned for our local Recycle Day celebrations in Tampa Bay, starting with a Trashy Flashy Fashion Show on November 13 and several events on Saturday November 15 at Lowry Park in Tampa.
