Today’s show started with an announcement about the ROOTS Seed and Plant share that takes place on October 4th from 2pm to 6pm at The Ale and The Witch, 111 – 2nd Ave. N.E., St. Petersburg, FL. Then we talked about growing herbs in our fall gardens with Sydney Park-Brown, Associate Professor in Consumer Horticulture with the University of Florida IFAS Extension Service. Also, Dr. Bob Linde, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Herbalist and owner of Acupuncture & Herbal Therapies joined the conversation on herbs. The rest of the show we talked about vegetable plant diseases with Dr Gary Vallad, Associate Professor with the University of Florida IFAS Extension program at the Gulf Coast Research Center in Balm. His research focuses on the diagnosis and management of diseases common to vegetable production with an emphasis on the development and implementation of disease management strategies. His research and extension efforts support Florida’s vegetable industry. The Florida AG Expo is coming up on November 5 at the Research Center in Balm.
