HART bus. By Janelle Irwin / WMNF News (May 2013).

On Sustainable Living Program this week we talked with representatives of two of our local public transportation providers.

Our guests were Rose Bruckner, Pasco County’s Transportation Program Coordinator and Bob Lasher, External Affairs Officer with Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, PSTA.

A lot is happening in Pinellas; of main interest to our listeners would be the possibility of PSTA buying some electric powered buses. It appears that their governing board is for this and they’re looking into different options for ‘E’ Buses.

New regional bus passes will be available soon and sounds like most of our local transportation providers are offering discounted bus passes for students on summer break. Also, our guests encourage you to make comments about their services through their websites. http://www.pascocountyfl.net/Index.aspx?NID=243 www.gohart.org
