Veterans day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954. In light of Veterans Day, I am reminded of a recent article in the Washington Post in which the author wrote this “Swing-state counties with especially high numbers of veterans helped propel Donald Trump to the White House, suggesting that his attacks this summer on a Gold Star family did not dampen support for him in military communities….In a number of counties in Ohio, North Carolina and Florida, Trump beat Hillary Clinton by wider margins than his Republican predecessors performed against Obama in the last two presidential races. All three swing states have rich military traditions and numerous counties in which thousands or tens of thousands of veterans live…”
….with this in mind….I started thinking about the two very different leadership styles demonstrated by our two most recent presidential candidates.——Hillary Clinton being described as a” Feeler”…with people having met her in person describing her as extremely warm and friendly……whereas Donald Trump iss described as a “Doer”—with his primary style being ” speak or do first, and clean up the mess if there is one afterward”‘…. One morning energy we are going to further explore the topic of leadership as it relates to various areas in our lives…..
