Florida Rep. Berny Jacques, R-Seminole, and Rep. Mike Redondo, R-Miami, have drawn Democratic challengers as they seek re-election in November.

Largo Democrat Dawn Douglas opened a campaign account Friday to run against Jacques in Pinellas County’s House District 59, according to the state Division of Elections website.

Jacques was first elected to the House in 2022.

Danielle Jordan challenges Mike Redondo

Meanwhile, Miami Democrat Danielle Jordan opened an account to run against Redondo in Miami-Dade County’s House District 118.

Redondo won a special election for the seat in December.
