Frank Knox is a homegrown Philadelphia boy. This former U.S. Marine has always had two big loves – cars and music (three -let’s count his lovely wife -editor). Frank loves to drag race, and has had some beautiful cars. As for other cars, he has a huge collection of die-cast cars, which includes not only the many cars he has owned, but a “Tucker”!
As much as he loves cars, he has an equally impressive music collection that spans several genres and decades. He can play 8-tracks, cassettes, 45s, vinyl! He even still has some 78s from his Mom.
WMNF has a been a bucket list item for Frank. He has always wanted to be on the air, and after retiring he followed his dreams to WMNF. He loves making each program a walk down memory lane. Frank has won Overnight Programmer of the Year, and has been recognized for his help during fund drives and as a Board Op for WMNF.

Hey Frank, I listened to your great New Years Day show on the archives and I wanted to thank you for the shout out regarding the Judy Garland CD I sent you awhile back. It was such a pleasant surprise and I am grateful for your show and WMNF! (I do miss Jeff [forgot his last name] following your show and I also miss Tom Collins, thanks for playing the Association songs in his memory. You’re a good man Frank at the ” Best little radio station on planet earth. “
