The Deadfields (9:40-11pm) : Foot stompin', hand clappin', knee slappin', ruckus rousin' folk rock! Stemming from the pines of the Carolinas to the swamps of South Georgia, members of The Deadfields converged in Atlanta in early 2011 for a simple, honest mission: to have fun writing and performing meaningful music. Their winning appearances at Tropical Heatwave and WMNF's Americana Fest have made them a new favorite for WMNF live music fans.
Have Gun Will Travel (8:20-9:20pm) One of WMNF's most played bands for the past five years, Bradenton's multiple Best of the Bay-winning Americana makers have a natural instinct for combining folk, pop, rock and classic country influences to create a sound all their own. They are getting national attention: "Their music has a great energy to it with infectious, sing-along choruses and refrains" remarked NPR's Robin Hilton. American Songwriter called HGWT's music "organic, infectious Americana Pop. Their music has a refreshing immediacy to it."
Talk To Mark (7-8pm) By equal turns both raucous and melodious, St. Petersburg band Talk To Mark mix power guitars, impassioned vocals and pop songwriting into a straight-ahead rock style all their own. The band began in the 2005 as a cover band quartet but they have added original material and vocalists to become a band who can play any style of rock or R&B, proven by their great sets at many WMNF tribute shows, including the re-creation of the Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street last June.
Rebekah Pulley and the Reluctant Prophets (5:40-6:40pm)
Rebekah Pulley is one of Tampa bay's favorite artists, whether she is playing an intimate coffeehouse or large festivals. Last summer she embarked on a solo tour that took her from Florida to Alaska and back. It is always special to see her top notch backing band, The Reluctant Prophets, backing her distinctive blend of tough but tender songs reflecting heartache, love, self-discovery and worldly chaos.
Wild Adriatic (4:20-5:20pm): Wild Adriatic is a band of four friends seeking to carry forth the torch of timeless rock n roll infused with tons of soul, captivating guitar work, and an impressive live show. The Saratoga Springs, NY outfit released their EP “Lock & Key” in April 2012 and a series of quirky music videos which have quickly brought the band positive attention from music lovers, press, and industry heads alike. In addition, the band has been lucky enough to be asked to support acts such as MuteMath, Matt & Kim, Company of Thieves, Flogging Molly, Third Eye Blind, Phantogram, All American Rejects, The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Deer Tick, and many more. “Flawlessly tight with infectious melodies and tons of soul.” – Relix | “Full of rocking blues, soul, and depth.” – The Huffington Post
Come Back Alice (3-4pm): One of the hottest new bands out of Tampa Bay, Come Back Alice was the eye and ear opening smash hit at WMNF's Groove Fest, getting them an enthusiastic invitation to play Little Manatee River Jam. Structured largely from improvisational influences, the band find their unique sound by allowing each member to artistically express their individual style(s). With a passion for live performance, the band comes equipped with a promise to never play the same show twice!! With major interest from some of the music industries heavy hitters, these guys and gal from Sarasota are rising fast! Note their early start time.
Ed Carter (2:00-2:40pm): Ed will start up the music with folk and blues.
