WMNF’s new tower is being installed & thanks to our listener-supporters

Share

Our new tower will double the height of our old tower (now we are 120+ feet high). This tower sends the signal from the station to the antenna in Riverview, which then distributes over a 9 county area. Trees have grown and the Selman Expressway has as well, partially blocking some of our signal.

Thanks to our GENEROUS listener/supporters and the Hillsborough County Commission for making this possible.

Here is a picture of it arriving, taken by Sean Kinane, WMNF’s Asst. News Director.

The tower project will be completed by the end of the year. Today’s rain threw it a little off (though we love the rain!).
Meanwhile, here is Bon Iver’s song, Tower.
