You Must Speak To Be Heard On Life Elsewhere

Share

This may surprise you: As the US Presidential election looms ahead in November and the non-stop news coverage of every move the candidates make and the cacophony of noise that generates, there are still folks who need prompting to register to vote.

Yes, it is hard to fathom. Which is where HeadCount comes in. A non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy. HeadCount‘s vision is musicians and their fans becoming leaders in worldwide social movements. They are focused on harnessing that ability and translating it into real action. Their goal is to help shape policy and culture in America by galvanizing the music community into a politically influential force.

“Our message is not about what party you support or where you land on an issue. It’s that you must speak to be heard.” These are powerful ideas and we want to know more. In the next edition of Life Elsewhere, Norman B will ask Aaron Ghitelman of HeadCount how a non-partisan organization can use the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy.
