Filmmaker Jen Senko’s father had always been an apolitical, mild-mannered man—until he started listen to right-wing talk radio and eventually Fox News. He then began to angrily rant against poor people, gay people, immigrants, and, particularly, democrats. In her newest documentary,The Brainwashing of My Dad, she follows the transformation of her father, and in turn the transformation of the media landscape, away from the ideals of fairness, moderation and accuracy. The Brainwashing of My Dad will be shown at the Sarasota Film Festival this Friday at 7:15 pm  and Saturday at 3:45pm.
