Religion and personal faith is a topic that has been brought up frequently during this presidential campaign cycle, even though Americans are becoming more and more secular . Today we talk about the role of religion in politics with Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. Lynn tackles the idea that the United States started as a Christian nation, and where the nation really stands when it comes to separating church and state. He will be speaking at the Sarasota Unitarian Universalist Church on Jan.24th at 9 am and 11 am, and at the Temple Sinai in Sarasota on Jan. 25th at 10:30 am.
