By Rob Lorei

For the last 50 years, The American Civil Liberties Union has been working in Florida to ensure freedom of speech and individual civil liberties. Over the last few decades the civil rights organization advocated for the right for a Cuban musical band to perform in Miami, worked extensively for LGBT marriage freedom within the state, pushed for voting rights for felons and even once defended Rush Limbaugh’s right to privacy.

Howard Simon, ACLU Florida’s Executive Director joined Rob Lorei to talk about its past work and its outlook for the future on Friday’s show.
