First up today—author and professor emeritus JIM LOEWEN.

He has an op-ed in the Washington Post this morning called: Why do people believe myths about the Confederacy?

Loewen taught race relations for twenty years at the University of Vermont. He is the author of Sundown Towns: A Hidden Dimension of American Racism.

He is also the author of Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your High School History Textbook Got Wrong and Lies Across America: What Our Historic Sites Get Wrong.
