One of three finalists for the job, state Rep. Tommy Gregory, R-Lakewood Ranch, will take part in two campus forums Tuesday as he seeks to become president of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.

The other finalists for the job are Martyn Clay, president of Hillsborough Community College’s Plant City campus, and Anthony Iacono, president of County College of Morris in New Jersey.

They will take part in forums Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, according to the State College of Florida website.

Gregory, an attorney, was first elected to the House in 2018 and serves as chair of the Judiciary Committee. Carol Probstfeld announced last year that she will step down as president on July 1.
