WMNF is holding an Open House celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop. Our live music studio space will feature WMNF’s most talented DJs, including DJ Rahim, DJ SR (Silent Rage), DJ Dark Vader, DJ Chin, DJ Tune Selecta, DJ Deacon, DJ LCM, and many others. Tone Kapone, Concept, Cen-Flo, Tempest & Sip Saki will host the event, and we will have special guest programmers joining us for interviews, conversations, and a tribute to the legacy of Kenny K (Kenny Waters of Digital Underground).

On-air discussions will delve into the impact of Hip Hop on society, culture, fashion, and politics. We will also examine the role of women in Hip-Hop and how the genre has evolved over the years. There will be a roaming camera crew, with host Valtrinda, taking attendee interviews. The event will be recorded for post-production and our streaming HD channels.
