Today we talk with Jeremy Alderson, founder of the Homeless Marathon, an annual radio program that tells the stories of America’s homeless in their own voices. Alderson talks about the many misconceptions and issues facing the homeless today. The Marathon will air its 17th annual program from Sarasota this year starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17th until 9 a.m. the next day. Over 90 community radio stations will be broadcasting the show and 4 hours will be carried on Directv and Dish network satellite channels. It is also available over the internet through the Pacifica public radio Audioport.
