Tampa Bay fast food workers unite to demand a higher minimum wage

Share

Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei speaks with Taco Bell fast food worker Shetara Brown from Tampa. Shetara is involved in an effort calling on fast food companies to pay a higher minimum wage.

Fast-food workers in St. Pete will for the first time join workers in Tampa on strike this Thursday, joining a growing movement for $15 an hour and union rights that has spread to over 160 cities across the country. Two years after New York City fast-food workers sparked a nationwide movement for higher pay and rights on the job, the Fight for $15 continues to grow and gain momentum.
