Nikola Tesla died in in 1943. During his 86 years on the planet he perhaps more than any other inventor was responsible for spreading the benefits of electricity to people around the US and the world. But his life has been overshadowed by other inventors such as Thomas Edison. In the last few years younger inventors have paid tribute to him, chiefly Elon Musk who named his car brand the Tesla. But there is much mystery about Tesla and what he was able to invent.

The big question: was he able to harness a source of free energy on the planet and was that discovery suppressed? Our guest on Radioactivity Tuesday was author John Wasik who has written a new book about Nikola Tesla and his creativity process. The book is called Lightning Strikes.
