keep up the GREAT programming. Being new to the Tampa area, I got so sick of commercial radio here and quit listening all together until I stumbled on 88.5. I\I've been a member of WCBE in Columbus OH for quite a few years and I'm ecstatic with the music programming on WMNF-MY RADIO SAVIOR!
Thank you for all of the super programming. I love all of the different kinds of music and in depth news/community information reporting. Democracy Now is among my favorites. You are one of the few positive things in the Tampa Bay area. Keep up the great work!
I remember over 25 years ago when I had more money I gave you $ 25 when you came around door to door. I wish I could give more but it is a sad state of affairs that I can only give you $ 10 now. Keep up the good work.
Thank-you for the excellent programming. The program Saturday afternoon August 29, 2009 was so moving. I love the station.
I have loved your station since I first found it in 2001. It's essential listening!
True Talk is just one of the many reasons WMNF is the Best Little Radio Stations on Planet Earth!

I've been out of town for the last three months and want to keep contributing to my favorite radio station. Traveling really lets you know the value of WMNF in our lives. I especially love Alan Watts, all the news shows, Art in Your Ear, Bluegrass, the Freak Show, straight up jazz, blues, and the Two Worlds shows. There are very few shows that I don't enjoy listening to.
Sonic detour gets me to the end of my day everyday as I listen in my office here in NYC. Best radio in the land! PS. I cherish my Alan Watts time
Enjoyed the show for late night studying. Thanks
Hi Laura,
I’m a proud WMNF supporter and volunteer. I wanted to drop you a line and share some of the reasons that I support the station. I’ve been a long time advocate and consumer of independent media. I believe that magazines, newspapers, radio programs, etc. that provide citizens a voice free from corporate bias or influence are vital to a democratic, free thinking society. It’s important that people living in a democratic society have ways to share their opinions, critical analyses, and dissenting comments – even if such ideas threaten the powerful and wealthy. Corporate media dare not allow ideas and information that threaten the status quo; for fear that their profit margins will shrink or disappear.
Independent media outlets give us an opportunity to have open political and social debate Independent media allow us to hear or read intelligent comments from such notable figures as Noam Chomsky, Tariq Ali, Amy Goodman, Greg Palast, or Howard Zinn. Independent media are vital to supporting a free and open democracy. WMNF is Central Florida’s local voice of progressive and independent media.
By combining WMNF’s public affairs shows with our wonderful array of musical programs, WMNF is an independent outlet that is not only politically progressive, but warm, welcoming, and fun.
JoEllen, you provide a fascinating window into a part of life that most of us need to be reminded of at LEAST weekly. Art of all kinds balances our souls.
I am so glad you are here! I am a recent Florida transplant and was fighting with the radio, as usual, on my evening commute home. Imagine my surprise when I happened upon this little station hidden in the lower digits of my scanner. It hasn't changed since and that was 2 weeks ago. Never before have I deliberately put a radio station on while in the house. The ipod lies dark and silent and I am listening to the radio! Keep up the good work. Great music, great news, refreshing and personable DJs. I love the laid back and down to earth feeling. I just wish my contribution could be more... Thank you for all you do.
